About Karli Meredith, Ph.D.

As a therapist I am compassionate, direct, and validating. I strive to bring humor, levity, and authenticity to create an environment where you feel affirmed and understood. Evidence based therapy is therapy that works, but that can also be challenging. I see my role as meeting you where you are and wading through the challenges together. I have years of experience flexibly adapting evidence-based treatments to meet individual needs and goals, with the ultimate goal of cultivating resilience, increasing, emotional wisdom, and helping you live a meaningful life.

In retrospect, I have been interested in psychology since before I understood the meaning of the word.  As a child, I was the observant one; intrigued and curious by the various personalities and behaviors around me. Years later the characters shifted but my interests remained the same. I became increasingly interested in the nexus of environment, family, and individual characteristics on human behavior. Becoming a psychologist was a seamless choice.

I received my PhD from Columbia University with a primary focus on the treatment and assessment of childhood disorders across development. As a life long learner, my clinical interests and acumen have continued to widen as I’ve received training in gold standard treatment targeting emotion dysregulation, increasing psychological flexibility, and mindfulness and compassion focused therapies. My expertise in childhood development provides an effective and unique view into how mental health issues evolve overtime and extend into adulthood.

Outside of work you can find me somehow immersed in nature, whether that’s through hiking, mountain biking, or skiing. I’m a big proponent of maintaining and cultivating my own meaningful relationships which means I’m usually spending time with my young family and friends.
